Q: What is the rationale for establishing such an organization?

A: The 21st century is a global century due to advances in technology and communication. The problems of one country do not belong to that country alone - they affect many other countries in the world. The handling of the SARS epidemic is a good example. The crisis caused in China by Jiang's regime impacted the entire world. It is important to fully expose such devastating crimes so that the future is safe for humanity. A well-known activist said, "We already have had success in suing Pinochet and Milosevic. We have to be persistent, and stand fast. We will send this guy [Jiang] to prison eventually. But what's more important, we are bringing a tyrant to justice. This sends a message that all tyrants will be brought to justice. By doing so, we are not only protecting our Falun Gong friends' rights, but protecting the rights of all Chinese people and of the entire world."

Q: How can the Coalition bring Jiang to justice?

A: The Coalition must mobilize all good people and concerned citizens throughout the world. This can be accomplished by holding public gatherings and academic forums, and by publishing articles and informing the media. The Coalition intends to expose all aspects of Jiang's criminal activity and inform China's citizens and the world through all possible channels. When people understand the scope and severity of the situation, they will naturally stand on the side of justice to support litigation in international courts of law.

The Coalition will also help members and victims to publicize their cases and to file charges against Jiang and other regime officials in courts of law. The Coalition also intends to work with the United Nations to initiate a criminal tribunal against Jiang.

Q: How can the Coalition bring Jiang to justice in China?

A. The Coalition will publicize international lawsuits filed against Jiang and his accomplices. This will initially serve to inform the Chinese people of Jiang's crimes committed against them, since many remain unaware as a result of the regime's propaganda and brainwashing campaigns. Meanwhile investigations and the gathering of evidence will continue, and that evidence will be used to initiate litigation. This is setting the foundation for a trial in China when the time is right. An activist who has spent ten years in prison under Jiang's regime said, "While my body is imprisoned, my spirit is free. Although Jiang is physically free, he is spiritually imprisoned. When everyone knows his crimes, that will be the time to bring him to trial in China."
