The Global Coalition To Bring Jiang To Justice was founded right before Oct 1st, the National Day for Beijing Government. The coalition held a press conference in Washington DC's National Press Club on the 30th. The coalition's ultimate goal is to bring Chinese former president Jiang Zemin to trial, and make him answer for his brutal crack down on the June 4th student movement and persecution of Falun Gong.

Spear headed by Falun Gong practitioners, the coalition pointed out, "The past thirteen years of Jiang Zemin's rule has been filled with violence and deception." The coalition wants to bring Jiang to justice and trial.

Chinese Democracy Movement leader Wei Jingsheng spoke at the press conference saying that the establishment of the Global Coalition To Bring Jiang To Justice is to warn the Chinese Communist Party officials to think twice before committing crimes against its own people.

The Chairman of the Chinese Labor Alliance, the labor leader of the June 4th movement, Tang Boqiao, said that Jiang Zemin stepped into his position by closing down The World Economic Guide during June 4th in Shanghai. The newspaper was closed because of its just and objective news coverage. Since Jiang obtained his position without formal election within the Party, as soon as he gained his power, he forced everyone to show support in cracking down on the June 4th movement. The four year long persecution of Falun Gong manifested the brutality of the government and the intensity of the social corruption in China.

He wishes to see Jiang to be brought to justice as soon as possible.
